Balzac's + Las Rosas
Package Design
Designed by surface pattern artist Kate Golding, custom wallpaper made for Balzac’s Powerhouse location served as inspiration for the Las Rosas retail coffee packaging. This seasonal offering puts the spotlight on the Las Rosas Women’s Coffee Project, which aims to promote gender equality by fostering opportunity in leadership on Colombian coffee farms.
As a way to honour this initiative, we created a modern and decidedly feminine label, featuring artwork from a female artist. It depicts the blossoming branch of a coffee plant to emphasize the single place of origin and the cooperative of women who grew, picked, and processed the beans.

1st Anniversary Campaign
Art Direction Marketing Collateral
The design of the Las Rosas packaging was so instrumental in the sales success, that what was a seasonal coffee became a core offering. To celebrate the 1-year anniversary of Las Rosas and relaunch the product, we enlisted papercraft artist Cait Doherty and art directed a major photoshoot to create key campaign artwork to be promoted across all retail, website and online channels.
