Naming Copywriting Brand Identity
From the very start, Fika wanted to be a different kind of cannabis company. Inspired by the Swedish custom of coffee and a break, Fika is a state of mind that emulates this concept, so we conscientiously crafted an image that would live up to its name. While classic craftsmanship, timeless style, and pursuit of the good life are the brand’s lifestyle aspirations, we coined the mantra, “Take a Breather” to be that reminder to slow down and savour the moment.
The streamlined wordmark embodies strength through its confident angles and prominent colour palette, but its gestural, hand-scrawled counterpart evens out the playing field. Vintagey supporting icons give off high spirits, but generously tracked type tells you its cannabis, without telling you its cannabis.

Proposed merch for Fika show how the brand marks and other auxiliary lettering and type can be creatively applied in a way that reads as lifestyle apparel and not branded commodities. Fika has now successfully opened multiple stores in prime real estate locations, seamlessly integrating their elevated interiors with refined visual communications.
