Balzac's Coffee Roasters
Brand Identity Packge Design Art Direction
The look of the original retail coffee bag for Balzac’s Coffee Roasters was designed to have timeless appeal and communicate artisanal quality. Spencerian script flourishes and decorative lettering are a nod to the French namesake and cultural influences that first gave rise to Balzac’s. Kraft paper packaging is offset by the lovely coloured labels that distinguish each signature flavour. The fact that this packaging design remains on the shelf nearly ten years later, proves that it continues to encapsulate the core essence of the brand and is still relevant today as ever.

Balzac’s Seasonal Blends
Package Design Art Direction
The packaging for Balzac’s seasonal blends explore artistic expressions that are alternative from the primary brand identity system, but have definitely secured a firm foothold in the brand’s visual lexicon. We devised a label that incorporates and accommodates these fresh, seasonal ideas, but never veers from looking and feeling wholly like Balzac’s.
