Lavender Eight
Established on a family estate in Langley, BC, Lavender Eight grows and harvests premium English lavender for use in sachets, bath salts, edible products like syrup and sugar, and as wedding confetti that is sustainable. The brand identity mixes traditional English sensibility and romance with an unexpected modern edge.
For the wordmark, we modified a lowercase ‘g’ into the namesake number and came up with a visual shorthand for the name using roman numerals.
A library of quaint hand-drawn illustrations create a narrative that is indelibly linked to lavender. They are thoughtfully used both as pattern and in singular instances to highlight a product.
Recalling the romantic beauty and sentimental value of Victorian journals, we channelled our inner writer to compose a free verse poem that could be layered into the design. The poem can be pulled apart or used in couplets with equal comprehension and relevance to a perfect day in the countryside.
From tissue paper, fabric sachets, and pillowbox lavender toss envelopes, to bath salt innovatively packaged in paper tubes, the brand identity is flexible and dynamic without losing any of its delicate appeal.
