After deciding they were ready to jump in with both feet, our redesign of this lovely packaging allowed this limited batch confiturier to expand their business and sell their product on the retail market.

 

The design respects the defining qualities of the original packaging while introducing illustrated elements and classic typography.

 

The labels accommodate their 200+ batches of unique flavours that they produce each year and meet the legal requirements for packaging in Canada, with a variation for the United States.

Like many new restaurants, Campagnolo opened with minimal branding and a simple menu created in-house by the proprietor. However, as the restaurant matured this approach no longer reflected the level of care and attention that diners had come
to expect.

 

Created as part of a complete identity package, the new Campagnolo menu is designed to be printed in-house to facilitate daily menu changes based on seasonally-available ingredients. The menu, like the brand as a whole, expresses Campagnolo’s dedication to presenting traditional Venetian fare in an honest yet elegant setting.

 

As with any well-loved institution, the real test of the Campagnolo identity was in the reactions of regular patrons. In this case we were extremely pleased to hear that regulars felt that ‘nothing had changed, only been improved upon'.

Uberdog Brand Audit.

 

Uberdog is a premium dog care service for busy professionals requiring a personalized level of care. Considering their clientele, it was essential that the Uberdog brand exude trust, reliability, and extensive experience. The company also plans to grow in the near future, so the ability for the identity to accommodate expansion was key.

 

The most effective aspect of the Uberdog rebrand was the decision to move away from commonly used cartoon depictions of dogs, instead focusing on real dogs photographed in an appropriate context. The use of photography, a more appealing brand colour, and more contemporary typography together create an impression of honesty and trustworthiness.

Our challenge was to take an established and well-designed identity and modernize it without sacrificing 20 years of brand equity. We retained many of the elements present in the original brand, but streamlined them to increase legibility and improve visual hierarchy. The redesigned logo retains a look and feel similar to the original, but creates a more professional impression due to its carefully considered execution.

 

We continue to manage the design and branding applications across all 8 Balzac’s locations (and counting…).

Not every redesign is a clean sweep. We approached the existing design as a starting point and built upon what was already there.

 

By refocusing the existing assets, we were able to better communicate the defining attribute of this unique coffee blend.

 

The new design sets itself apart from the other offerings in the product category by combining the stunning illustration, strong type, and brand seal for a compelling packaging experience that emotionally engages consumers.

Sloane Tea Company Brand Audit.

 

To better define the brand, this project required a thorough investigation into the roots of the Sloane Tea Company, in particular the British heritage of the brand’s namesake: Sloane Square in London.

 

The result is a complete reassessment of what the brand is and what their values are.

 

Building upon the notion that Sloane is a ‘gentlemen’s tea’, the result is a versatile icon in tune with the aspects of their products that their consumers identify most with.
